In the fishing world, anglers do whatever they can to fool a fish. Presentation is key! Obviously, the best presentations trick the fish into thinking your lure is something good to eat. That’s what we believe we’ve done with our marabou jigs.
The weak tends to be eaten first, and in the trout’s domain, things that fall erratically in the water column are perceived to be weak. Our marabou jigs are designed with an offset head that causes them to fall in a spiral, not straight down like most round headed jigs do. That’s what makes our jigs so deadly.
Phil Lilley, owner of Lilleys’ Landing, has been fishing marabou jigs for trout on Lake Taneycomo since 1984. He has hooked hundreds of trout anglers on using jigs by proving that they catch fish – bigger fish. Duane Doty designed each marabou jig head with 2 important and unique attributes. First, an uneven, slanted head for a wild sinking action. Also, a beveled collar with tying groove next to the head for ingenious tying ease. They’re also great for catching pan fish, bass, crappie, and walleye.
